I really dislike giving a poor review to any writer, but this book is awful. The plot is the old tried and true special forces (name your group) war hero returns to find family member abducted and taken for whatever reason. There was even a movie, "Taken" which sort of paralleled the book.Thank goodness I did not pay the $13.00 bucks for the hard copy. The 99 cents was too much. I read the entire book only to wonder at the over the top improbable/impossible action and the amateurish dialog between our two heroes. Whenever I read "It's only a flesh wound.", and the hero is immediately back in heavy duty action, I recognize claptrap. These guys were shot and beat up so many times, but didn't lose a step. Too bad. I hope John improves his style. Maybe review some Stephen Hunter books for realism tips.
